Facebook application and digital strategy for Bombay Sapphire to support and enhance the brand's latest print campaign, There's Something Inside the Bombay Sapphire. The campaign, specifically the tagline, encouraged audiences to explore the “Something Inside” that gives Bombay Sapphire gin depth and richness of character. Our digital execution encouraged consumers to explore not only the brand story, but also their own cultural background and experiences to discover what makes them, as Bombay Sapphire drinkers, interesting and unique.
Leveraging Facebook Connect and Flickr, we developed an interactive tool that asked consumers a series of questions about their cultural upbringing as well as their taste in art, music, travel and more. While completing the questionnaire, they had the opportunity to tag Facebook friends with similar tastes and interests and share select questions to their Facebook profiles for feedback. Based on the answers, the tool would mine Facebook and Flickr's Creative Commons licensed images to create a unique, layered mosaic. This resulted in a stunning visual narrative that consumers could then share with their network through social channels.
